Easter Bunny Egg-stravagansa!

Today we took our little chunker to meet the Easter Bunny!  I have been beyond excited about this for quite some time now - Craig on the other hand, not so much!

I get him all dolled up today in Uncle Brett's snazzy AE jeans and the most adorable Tommy Hilfiger button up shirt from Grandma Jarrell.  Then it's time to eat right before we leave so that he will be full and happy when he meets the Bunny!  We get half way through the bottle and I sit Hunter up to burp him.. I see the look of concentration on his face and I suddenly hear the diaper filling up.. here is what happens next..

Yes - we did take a picture because we just thought it was too funny.  The best part was that he had more on his back then he had in his diaper!  My child is a talented pooper - his Grandaddy Glass should be quite proud!  Luckily I was able to save the jeans from getting pooped on, so we were able to make it out the door - poop free - in outfit #2!

We get to the mall and there is no line!  Shew!  Apparently the Easter Bunny is not quite as popular as Mr. Clause.  I go up and sit Hunter on the Easter Bunny's lap.  Hunter did so good, he just sat there taking everything in.  Except for the fact that his head immediately turned to the right and I'm pretty sure I could have had a marching band behind the camera and he wouldn't have looked at it.  Silly boy!  The photographer and I tried everything we possibly could think of to get him to look and he wanted nothing to do with it!  So here is Hunter's very first Easter Bunny shot!

Even though he's not looking - I'm positive it's the cutest Easter Bunny picture I've ever seen!

Back to Work..

As many of you all know - I went back to work on Monday.  That was a day I was dreading since December 21st.

The entire weekend before - I was an absolute wreck.  We went out to eat with some friends on Saturday night - Craig and I drove separately just in case I needed to leave early and take Hunter home.  I sobbed all the way home from the restaurant that night because I knew that the next time I would be driving - I would be leaving Hunter.  Then every single time I rocked him on Sunday I was a total mess.  I knew Monday wasn't going to be easy.

I got up Monday morning and got ready.  Hunter was still asleep and it was almost time for me to go.  I was thinking that if he stayed asleep then I wouldn't have too many tears because I wouldn't really have to say goodbye.  Welp - that didn't work.  He woke up about five minutes before I had to be out the door.  I kissed him and the hysterical crying commenced.  I bawled all the way to work.  I tried to pull it together to go inside.  I went to say 'Hi' to Mrs. Adkins on the way to my office and she handed me some flowers and a card from my team and the tears started again.  Luckily though, that was the last time I had tears all week!

The week went really well and I owe it all to my Mom.  She is an absolute ROCKSTAR!  She loves Hunter almost as much as I do and I know that when I leave him, he couldn't be taken any better care of.  I called her probably 10 times on Monday, and that number decreased with each day.  I think I only checked in once on Friday!  He ate fabulously for her and he took naps regularly (he doesn't nap for me).  Hunter had grandma exactly where he wanted her!  She cooked dinner every evening, packed our lunches, washed bottles, took Bryer out, fed Bryer and she did laundry.  I honestly don't even know how to thank her!  I'm so glad that I had her here for the first week - Hunter was in amazing hands and that couldn't make me any more happy!
