Roanoke Weekend

This weekend was a traveling weekend, again.  This time we left on Thursday and came back on Sunday - so it was a longer trip.  We left after lunch on Thursday, I know this will come as a shock to everyone, but Hunter slept the entire drive to Breezy Rock Stables.

After we got home Hunter had some visitors.  He met the Manillo family and Grumpy and Deedie also came by to say hello!

On a side note, I was also a bit nervous about coming in this weekend.  Lately, The Gray and I have had a bit of a track record.  Every time I see him he has to get sick, and the last time I was in he ended up having surgery at Tech.  Well, he came home the same day that I came in to visit.  I didn't touch him the entire time I was in just to be on the safe side - I meant to go visit him on Sunday right before we left but I completely forgot.

On Friday, Hunter went with Mom and Dad to get their teeth cleaned.  Grandma got to babysit a little bit while I got my teeth cleaned.  After that we went to visit some friends at Craig's work and then got to go meet everyone and Dad's (Kevin's) work.  We finally went home to rest for a bit and then had to go back out so I could go to the eye doctor.  All the grandparents came over for dinner on Friday night so they could have a little extra Hunter time.  They brought over 3 Little Pigs barebeque for us to eat.  I would soon find out that Hunter really does not like 3 Little Pigs - he was up all night Friday night and really grumpy on Saturday morning and I'm pretty sure it's because of what I ate for dinner!

On Saturday I FINALLY got my hair cut!  WHOOPIE!!  It hadn't been touched since October, needless to say I was WAY overdue.  After my haircut Craig and I took Hunter to go get our taxes done, then we went to lunch with Grandma and Grandpa Jarrell and then we went back home to rest for a little bit.  Finally we went to dinner at the amazing Homeplace.  After wrestling our way through about 500 people in the lobby we made it to our room in the basement.  Hunter got to meet some more family and friends and also met his future girlfriend Miss Gabby.  It was really fun to get together and see friends and family that we haven't seen in such a long time.  Hunter was so excited about it, he slept the whole time - what a shock!

On the way home Hunter actually stayed awake for the first hour of the drive!  I was totally shocked!

Since we've been back Hunter has been a complete grouch!  I guess he's just trying to get readjusted back to his "normal" schedule.  When I say he's been a grouch, the little guy isn't happy unless he has a bottle in his mouth.  I'm going to buy him one of those helmets and stick a bottle on each side and stick the straw in his mouth, that way he can just be drinking constantly and not have to worry about it!
